China Glaze's Fade Into Hue - Swatch and Drool...

China Glaze's new(ish) collection for spring is absolutely amazing. Avant Garden has great summery fresh shades, and I may or may not want every single one in the collection. Well, except the murky green. So it was with great restraint that I only purchased three shades of the collection.

My favorite so far? BOOM:

It is so pretty! Fade Into Hue is a gorgeous periwinkle/lavender shade. I slash the two colors together because it's quite hard to describe the color! In this picture, it looks quite blue. But in the shade, the polish can look almost lavender. It doesn't have any shimmer. I find shimmer is often added to soften the look of a white based shade, but this baby doesn't need it. It definitely doesn't look chalky against my skin tone. I had no problems with the formula - the polish was smooth and opaque in two coats. Such a dream to work with.

Okay, sure, I might be over excited about this, but it's so pretty and makes me think of summer. Plus, I got tons of compliments on this polish (oh hi cashier at Superstore!)

Hope your week is off to a great start! Bye!

  2. Gorgeous! Perfect for spring and summer.

  3. Ahh! I love periwinkles and I still don't own one! Gotta fix that.

  4. that's a beautiful shade, I wish I could wear blues that easily, I feel like blue-ish nail polishes clash with my skintone :( I imagine this shade would look gorgeous with a summery, white dress :) / Claire

  5. What a gorgeous shade! I'm often hesitant to paint my nails in blue shades because it looks so unnatural and just odd to me, but this blue is so soft and pretty, I think it would be perfect... I must figure out where to buy China Glaze in France :)

  6. Waaaait a minute. I think I saw this shade on a fellow blogger's nails last night. I thought it's really pretty but forgot to ask her what it was! Glad I figured it out one way or another haha

  7. Ahhh this is so beautiful! I need this!

  8. this is quite a nice blueish lavender shade <3

  9. This is a relaxing color. I loved it...

  10. There is something about periwinkle shades that I absolutely adore - two of my fave polishes are Bikini So Teeny and Lippmann's I Know What Boys Like - this fits right in between the two :)

  11. Oooh, that is a beautiful shade! I'm normally not a big fan of blue polish, but this really is pretty.
