I've recently mentioned in my January favorites that one of my go-to lipsticks on the month was the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel. I was already a fan of the "regular" Chubby Sticks, and wanted to venture into trying the "Intense" version. Curviest Caramel is quite pigmented, so its title is quite appropriate for its performance. It's also resembles lipstick much more than the glossy finish that the regular Chubby Sticks give. It doesn't have glossy feel, but it's not quite matte either.
Like its less pigmented counterpart, the Chubby Stick Intense also has a twist bottom to ensure you do not waste any product. Another great thing about this product is that it is unscented. While Revlon's Kissable Balm stains might be a cheaper option, they do have a minty smell. I don't mind mint, but I always prefer my products to be unscented (except for Clarins... love that smell!)
Curviest Caramel is best described as a neutral rose in my opinion. I think it's sort of a chameleon shade depending on your lip color - if you have yellow tones, I believe this will be leaning towards brown, but if you have cool tones, this will look pinker. Since my tones are quite neutral, the color is a browny pink on me.
I really like this product. It's the perfect shade to go with any makeup. If I'm in a rush (which I always am) in the morning, I usually reach for this. It doesn't dry my lips out and it stays on for about 4 hours without needing reapplication. If you're not sure about all these glossy stick lipsticks around the market, and prefer lipsticks, this might be one worth giving a try!
